Farewell to Arnold Jäger: A life full of innovations

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the loss of Arnold Jäger, the son of the founder of the JÄGER Group.

He passed away on April 10, 2024 at the age of 92 after a short illness.

Arnold Jäger Junior began his career on April 1, 1948 as an appren­tice in the com­pa­ny of his father, Arnold Jäger Senior.

In addi­tion to his com­mer­cial train­ing, he com­plet­ed a trainee­ship at Gum­mi-Hansen dur­ing the day and attend­ed the tech­ni­cal evening school for mechan­i­cal engi­neer­ing in the evenings.

Despite his busy sched­ule, he found time for his pas­sions: ten­nis and cross-coun­try ski­ing in the Harz Moun­tains, where he also met his future wife Regina.

With his enthu­si­asm for rub­ber and plas­tics, he inspired many cus­tomers and cre­at­ed pio­neer­ing appli­ca­tion solu­tions. These includ­ed indus­try-defin­ing inno­va­tions for the oil indus­try in Celle, the famous “Jäger agri­cul­tur­al machin­ery belt” as a replace­ment for iron chains in pota­to har­vesters and rub­ber mem­brane hoses for bio­log­i­cal waste­water treatment.
