Energy Technology – Components for a Green Energy Future
Energy engineering deals, among other things, with the generation, conversion, and storage of energy. To make these processes as efficient and cost-effective as possible, new and innovative technologies are constantly needed.
Wind Power
The wind energy sector demands continuous innovation and the highest level of resilience, as the energy transition and the German Renewable Energy Act (EEG) are driving profound changes in the industry.
Wind turbines and large wind farms are being built in many locations to secure the energy supply for society, which has traditionally relied heavily on fossil fuels. A growing global population and scarce resources are driving the need for ever-larger and more efficient wind turbines.
Over decades of working in the industry and focusing on wind energy, we have built up comprehensive expertise. From hose assemblies for rotor blade manufacturing to rubber-metal components for decoupling and vibration damping, to sealing profiles made of rubber and plastic, we offer customized solutions for all types of wind turbines.
Offshore
The energy sector is undergoing a transformation: Demand is rising, but there is very little suitable land available for the necessary facilities. We therefore focus on offshore facilities and the associated products and technologies.
We manufacture components from innovative materials, such as basalt fibers, to provide the ideal equipment for offshore installations. Durability and environmental sustainability are our top priorities, whether for wind farms or other offshore installations. To ensure optimal support for all projects, we approach each application individually and with a results-oriented mindset.
Solar Energy
Solar energy encompasses various fields related to the technical utilization of solar radiation. In addition to the use of thermal or chemical energy, the primary focus is on the generation of electricity. The photovoltaic systems used for this purpose must be shielded from external environmental influences to prevent damage to sensitive components within the system.
Rubber and plastic seals ensure the long-term, reliable operation of these systems. Inverters in particular—that is, devices that convert the generated direct current into alternating current—contain sensitive components that are protected by our custom-designed sealing solutions.
Oil Production
Oil production accounts for a large share of the global energy supply and therefore constitutes a major area of energy technology. So-called eccentric screw pumps, which consist of a spiral-shaped rotor and a stationary stator, are frequently used in this context. These positive-displacement pumps enable the efficient transport of viscous fluids such as crude oil.
Within the JÄGER Group, we manufacture stators and rotors entirely in-house, which allows us to ensure optimal quality. Even outside the energy sector, our solutions are particularly well-suited for pumping viscous or abrasive media (food industry, wastewater treatment plants, etc.).
